John Brace
President and Chief Executive Officer

John is responsible for the overall business affairs of Northland Power. He has been with Northland since 1988, where he has held various positions in risk management, development, construction and operations.

Immediately before joining Northland, John was co-owner of a hydro energy development company.

John has actively served our industry as chair and president of the Association of Power Producers of Ontario and as a member of the Electricity Conservation and Supply Task Force commissioned to provide recommendations on increasing the province’s supply of electricity, improving the reliability of Ontario’s electricity grid and enhancing conservation and demand management programs.

John received his bachelor of science degree in engineering physics from Queen’s University.
