Jurassic Solar+ is a 220 MWac, 80MW/80MWh advanced stage co-located solar and energy project located on approximately 1,170 acres of land in Cypress County, Alberta. The development began in early 2021, and is expected to begin construction in 2023, with commercial operations beginning at the end of 2024. The project will be 220 MWac in size, with 80 MW/80MWh of battery energy storage and will involve installing approximately 443,000 solar PV modules, 62 inverter/transformer stations, a battery energy storage system, an electrical collection system, access paths and the construction of a Project Substation to connect to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES). |
