Overview

Ball Hill Wind, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northland Power Inc., is a fully permitted 108 MW wind facility in the towns of Hanover and Villenova, located in Chautauqua County, New York.

The project reached commercial operations in October of 2023. Connected to the New York State Electric and Gas Corporation and National Grid transmission lines, Ball Hill is now providing clean energy to homes across New York State and plays a direct role in supporting the region's energy transition targets. Ball Hill holds a 20-year indexed renewable energy certificate (REC) contract with NYSERDA and is one of Northland's first investments and projects energized in the United States.
